Build A Seat is an art project created for/by Black Creatives at Burning Man, an artistic gathering where Black attendees represent only 2%. The art piece consisted of a giant interactive table intentionally designed without seats.

I was one of the few selected artists to receive an artist grant for two consecutive years, which allowed me to bring the vision to life. Build a Seat 1.0 and Build a Seat 2.0 (with seats) would not have been possible without the incredible team of doers I had the great fortune of serving as the Art + Project Lead. We came together to make this one of the most memorable works of my lifetime.
