Build A Seat is an art project created for/by Black Creatives at Burning Man, an artistic gathering where Black attendees represent only 2%. I was one of the few selected artists to receive an artist grant for two consecutive years, which allowed me to bring my vision to life. This project (Build a Seat 1.0 and Build a Seat 2.0) would not have been possible without the incredible team of doers I had the great fortune of serving as the Art + Project Lead.
